Billiards!

Whenever I've shown pictures of the new house to people, one remark I always get is about the Billiards light fixture in the back room.  There are many notable things about the Billiards light fixture:  (1) its enormous size; (2) its low hanging height; (3) how it is centered over the imprint of a pool table from days past; and (4) how it matches the red synthetic carpet.  The Billiards light fixture even makes the other 1960s light fixture next to it look attractive.

Needless to say, we were anxious to get rid of both of these light fixtures.

Step one to this was to get an electrician to link the light switch to both light fixtures together.  (Previously, they were controlled by separate switches).  M/I Electric took care of this on Saturday, 12/22.

Step two was to choose a light fixture.  We decided to just buy one fixture to see how it would look. Big Luis and I installed the first fixture so it was no problem. We liked the look of the first one we installed so we ordered the second. When it arrived, it was up to Luis and me to install. After a little drama, we got it up. Now it looks great!
